Use the flow diagram to identify the document we need from you as part of the application process:


If you are applying as one of the following: a Social worker qualified before 2007, a social worker qualified with a degree in the UK but outside Wales, a residential childcare manager or worker, a domiciliary care manager or worker or an adult care home manager and have a DBS check within the last 3 years or you are on the DBS update service, then we will need verified copies of your qualification certificate. If you do not have a DBS check within the last 3 years we will need  your qualification certificate,  your birth certificate and your photographic identification.
 
If you are applying as a social work student or a social worker qualified with a degree who studied in Wales, we do not need any documents from you. Your university confirms your identity during their enrolment process.









 
If you are applying as a social  worker qualified outside of the UK, we will need verified copies of your qualification certificate your birth certificate and your photographic identification. Please see our website for further information on the application process.


















Acceptable forms of photographic identification are: photographic identity page of your passport, photographic driving licence, photographic work identity card, photographic identity card from one of the British Armed Forces, national photographic identity card (EU countries only)
